Formerly known as D&B Remodeling and HRT Remodeling & Repair, Skogman Remodeling & Repair has earned a reputation for quality craftsmanship, integrity, and exceptional customer service throughout Eastern Iowa.
The Opportunity
Skogman Remodeling & Repair is looking for a Part-Time General Laborer to support our crews with trailer transport and general labor on residential remodeling projects in the Cedar Rapids area. This is flexible, supplemental work - a good fit if you're looking for extra income and don't need a set number of hours every week.
Schedule: This is on-call work - hours vary week to week based on project needs. Some weeks may have little to no work; other weeks may require time each day. You'll know your schedule for the upcoming week by Friday, so you can plan around it. Recent averages have run about 12-16 hours/week.
No benefits are offered with this position, but you'll be provided a company vehicle to drive while on the clock and Skogman Remodeling & Repair attire - no wear and tear on your own vehicle or clothes.
What You'll Do
  • Hook up, pull, and safely back trailers to and from job sites
  • Provide general labor support on remodeling and repair projects
  • Clock in/out and communicate availability using time clock apps on your smartphone
  • Assist crews with material transport, site prep, and cleanup as needed

What You'll Need (Required)
  • Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
  • Ability to hook up, pull, and back a trailer
  • Comfortable performing general labor and construction-related tasks, including lifting, carrying, and working outdoors
  • A smartphone for time clock and communication apps
  • Reliable transportation to and from the job site or shop
