Quad’s Hartford facility is seeking Night Shift Part‑Time General Laborers to join our growing team! This is an excellent opportunity to learn the printing process from the ground up in a progressive, high‑tech manufacturing environment. Many employees who start in this role advance into full‑time Machine Operator positions, making this an ideal entry point for individuals seeking long‑term career growth.

Work Schedule (Required – No Exceptions)

This position follows a 2‑3‑2 rotating night shift schedule, and applicants must be able to commit to one of the following:

  • Monday, Tuesday & every other Saturday (7 PM – 7 AM)
    OR
  • Wednesday, Thursday & every other Saturday (7 PM – 7 AM)

Attendance and schedule consistency are crucial for effective training, seamless team coverage, and operational success.

Compensation

  • Starting wages: $17.50 ( based on experience and employment history)
  • Additional $0.75/hour night shift differential

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Remove finished product from bindery equipment
  • Stack, organize, bundle, or transfer products onto pallets, tables, or into collator hoppers/mail bags
  • Move product using hand jacks, motorized Raymond (Big Joe) lifts, or forklifts (training provided)
  • Follow all quality, safety, and production guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with team members
  • Assist with special handwork, and customer‑specific requests
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Printing, factory, or mechanical experience is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read/write measurements
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic computer/touchscreen skills
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand/wrist movements
  • Ability to lift 10–20 lbs regularly and handle materials up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to move materials from pallets (up to 48") to work surfaces (42")
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment
  • Strong teamwork and independent‑work capabilities
