Job Description:
Under the direction and supervision of the Principle Investigator (PI), the lab research tech will perform wet laboratory experiments with a focus on cell culture and assessment of lead drug compounds. Ordering supplies and passaging cell lines will also be part of the wet laboratory duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
• A high school diploma is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
• Ability to read and write common vocabulary and perform arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate fractions).
• Ability to follow work direction.
• Ability to use personal computer and common office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in wet laboratory research is preferred.
Current UT student is preferred.
