Design beautiful kitchens. Work with a team that respects your craft.

NEPA Builders is an award-winning residential builder serving Northeast Pennsylvania since 2012. We specialize in high-quality remodels, additions, and new homes -- and we're known for doing things with integrity, professionalism, and care.

We're looking for a Part-Time Kitchen & Cabinet Designer to join our team and support our growing residential remodeling division. This role is ideal for an experienced designer who enjoys client collaboration, thoughtful layouts, and being part of a well-run team -- without the pressure of a full-time showroom environment.

What You'll Do
  • Design residential kitchens and cabinetry using 2020 Design Software or ProKitchen
  • Meet with homeowners virtually and in physically in our Blakely showroom to guide design decisions
  • Balance function, aesthetics, and budget to create buildable designs
  • Collaborate with project managers and carpenters to ensure smooth execution
  • Adjust designs as needed based on site conditions and construction feedback
  • Manage design tasks and deadlines with attention to detail and professionalism

Your designs won't sit in a binder -- they'll be built.

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of residential kitchen or cabinet design experience
  • Hands-on experience with 2020 Design or ProKitchen
  • Ability to attend in-person client meetings at our Blakely showroom during scheduled design appointments
  • Strong understanding of cabinetry, layouts, and construction realities
  • Ability to read plans, dimensions, and specifications
  • Clear, confident communication with clients and internal teams
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple projects
  • Experience with MasterBrand cabinetry is a plus, but not required
Pay & Benefits
  • Part-time W-2 position
  • $30-$40/hour, based on experience
  • Hybrid schedule with some remote design flexibility
  • Steady project flow and clear expectations
  • Supportive, collaborative team environment
  • Opportunity to expand responsibilities over time
Why NEPA Builders

We believe great design and great construction go hand in hand. Our team values craftsmanship, accountability, and mutual respect -- and we're proud of the homes we build and the community we serve.

If you're looking for part-time design work with a builder who values your expertise, we'd love to talk.
