JOB SUMMARY

We’re looking for a Cabinet Design Professional to come work with our design team. An ideal professional for this role has Nonn’s is currently seeking an experienced Cabinet Design Professional for our retail/builder single-family home division. A successful individual in this role achieves specified sales and margin goals while providing the highest level of customer service through ongoing product knowledge development and refinement of sales techniques. Based in our showroom, this full-time position reports directly to the Store Manager and is scheduled during showroom hours (typically 1-2 Saturdays per month and one evening per week). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop retail and builder customer relationships and assist customers in selection process.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and keep current on product knowledge and installation.
  • Prepare project bids and ensure jobs meet margin goals.
  • Manage projects from start to finish in collaboration with the support team.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows and builder meetings as required.
  • Ensure the showroom and personal workspace are maintained in a neat, clean and orderly manner.
  • Enter and process all paperwork; collaborate with internal team members to resolve questions or issues.
  • Occasionally make job site visits.
  • Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • Interior design degree preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in cabinet sales/design.
  • Previous work experience using 2020 Design or similar takeoff and estimating programs as a daily requirement.
  • Previous work experience using Microsoft Office applications as a daily requirement.
  • Previous work experience using QFloors, RFMS, or similar construction-related business management application.
  • Must have a valid driver license and meet our minimum standards following a Motor Vehicle Record review at time of job offer and at regular intervals while employed.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds without restriction and on a regular basis.
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing for training and project updates and to independently handle external and internal requests.
  • Math skills acquired through high school diploma or equivalent to prepare accurate bids and measurements, calculate fractions and percentages, convert square feet and square yards, and understand basic financial transactions.
