Full Time/Part Time Kennel Technician

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced animal lover to join the Armadale work team and get some one-on-one experience with individual pet care. A 'Kennel Technicians' responsibilities include (but not limited to) cleaning and prepping the kennels, administration of topical medications, completing individual and group services such as playing, training on a treadmill, cuddle time and walks.

To be successful as a member of Armadale Farm Kennel, you should be observant and passionate about caring for dogs. Ultimately, a kennel tech. should have a love for animals and a good team-player. Just like with kids, it takes a village to provide top of the line care for pets.

Kennel Technicians Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing kennels.
  • Charting pets bathroom and appetite behaviors.
  • Observing and communicating with managers about the well-being of individual pets.
  • Laundry/Dishes/Bathing and occasional feeding and bathing.
  • Learning and exercising premium pet care and services.
  • Practicing responsible and reliable communication.
  • Walking dogs.
  • Playing/pampering and spoiling every pet.
  • Hands on experience with all different types of breeds,size and personalities of dogs.

Kennel Technician Requirements:

  • A genuine heart for animals of all shapes and sizes.
  • Detail oriented
  • Quick learning and good under pressure
  • Okay with loud noises and strong smells
  • Experience with dogs is NOT required but is preferred
