Job description

Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility | $380K Minimum Guaranteed Base | Chicago, IL

Join a Growing, Mission-Driven REI Team at One of the World’s Premier Academic Medical Centers

Practice Highlights

Practice at the top of the field. The University of Chicago — one of the most powerful names in academic medicine, offering state-of-the-art fertility treatments and high IVF success rates, particularly in patients aged 35+.

Join a team on the rise. A newly expanded division — now 3 FTE Reproductive Endocrinologists plus a 0.4 part-time physician — in a supportive, collaborative department that cares for all patients.

Focus on what you do best. 80% clinical time (four full workdays per week) with a full procedural practice — and no general OB/GYN call. Physicians rarely go on-site when on call.

Deliver care that matters. Affirming, patient-centered fertility care for LGBTQ+, transgender, and gender non-conforming individuals — a program built around inclusive excellence.

Keep growing. Strong institutional support for clinical, scholarly, and career development — protected time available for candidates with a research background.

Compensation & Benefits

$380,000 minimum guaranteed base salary for your first two years — plus a productivity bonus based on new patients.

Erase your student debt. UChicago qualifies for both PSLF and NHSC loan forgiveness.

Actually take your time off. 4 weeks vacation plus 2 weeks CME every year.

Invest in your family’s future. Tuition remission for you and your dependents at any accredited U.S. institution, Lab School tuition assistance (K–12), and Bright Horizons on-campus daycare.

Qualifications

   Degree: MD or DO

Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility

   Licensure: Illinois licensure eligible

Practice Profile: Minimum 80% clinical time; open to performing procedures; research background required for candidates seeking protected research time

About the Community

Live where careers are made. The University of Chicago opens doors — for your career, your research, and your reputation — for the rest of your life.

Wake up to Lake Michigan. Downtown is 20 minutes away, and the campus is as beautiful as it is intellectually electric.

Call Hyde Park home. Nobel laureates, world-class physicians, artists, and innovators all living and working in the same neighborhood — with the Museum of Science and Industry literally next door.

Have a great career and a great life. Michelin-starred restaurants. The Chicago Symphony. The Cubs, Bears, and Bulls. One of the country’s most dynamic and diverse metro areas.
