About the Role

The Andrology Lab Technician plays an essential role in the fertility journey by providing critical support in both the endocrinology laboratory and the andrology laboratory as needed. This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, compassionate, and excel in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Working closely with laboratory leadership, physicians, nurses, and technical staff, the Andrology Lab Technician ensures timely and accurate processing, contributing directly to patient care, treatment success, and overall clinical outcomes.

We are seeking an Andrology Lab Technician to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility - Illinois, located in Naperville, IL. This is a full-time, onsite position, working Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM based on clinic needs. Occasional weekends and holidays may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage packing, shipping, receiving, and documentation of cryopreserved reproductive specimens (oocytes, embryos, sperm).
  • Serve as the primary patient contact for specimen disposition and transportation.
  • Support the andrology laboratory as needed, assisting with specimen handling and other laboratory operations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Ensure accurate consent verification and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Respond to patient inquiries via portal, email, and phone; assist with authorization forms via video conferencing.
  • Coordinate with external labs, couriers, and patients for record collection and shipment scheduling.
  • Maintain updated paper and electronic records; follow all SOPs.
  • Perform clerical duties and support additional projects or tasks as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of laboratory experience outside of coursework preferred. New graduates with research experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Skills:
      • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
      • Compassionate and effective communicator, especially with patients

      • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team

      • Familiar with laboratory safety and quality control protocols

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour (final offers based on experience, skills, and qualifications).
