Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an Andrology Laboratory Technician to join our team at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York in Brooklyn, New York.

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays and the ability to float to the Westside and Eastside Manhattan locations as needed
  • Compensation: $24.00 per hour

In this role, the Andrology Laboratory Technician will:

  • Perform routine sperm and blood analysis by receiving specimens from patients and/or staff
  • Accession samples
  • Perform procedures and ensure results are reported accurately
  • Perform quality control procedures and maintain equipment
  • Ensure laboratory quality assurance and quality control programs meet all requirements and industry standards as established by qualified outside agencies

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications and Skills Include:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Biochemistry or related science field required
  • Experience in a laboratory setting required
  • Proficiency in handling human tissue and following strict laboratory protocols is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency using MS Office, patient EMR systems and ROCHE systems is strongly preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
