Job description

Growing solo law practice with office in downtown Houston and work-from-home in Pearland is looking for a part-time, hybrid (remote/onsite) office assistant. Hours/days are somewhat flexible but would typically be approximately 20 hours a week. Compensation would be $17-$24 an hour, depending on experience.

Job responsibilities will include client intake, scheduling appointments, assisting with general case management, such as discovery maintenance and tracking, and document/form creation and filing.

Because of the confidential nature of the work, a high level of discretion, ethics, and trustworthiness is an absolute requirement. Candidate must be fully Spanish bilingual, somewhat tech-savvy, have good communication skills and excellent attention to detail. Also, the candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat. Familiarity with the Zoom platform and Excel would be a plus. Also desired is the strong ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with little supervision after appropriate training.

The candidate will need a reliable space to work remotely with quality internet.

The position would be ideal for an office/legal assistant/paralegal who has retired but still wishes to stay active in a part-time capacity.
