Job description

Family Engagement Specialist (Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred)

Hourly rate starting at $17 per hour.

This position is responsible for providing on-site childcare to children ages 0-17 years while their family members are receiving services from the agency and/or managing the front desk and working with families to complete intake paperwork.

Essential Functions

  • Engage children of all ages waiting in the Activity Center in constructive group and/or individual activities
  • Greet all clients, donors, volunteers, vendors, and team members and connect them with appropriate staff
  • Provide exceptional customer service and help resolve client/team/staff concerns
  • Ensure donations are received, documented, and distributed to the appropriate staff/place
  • Provide information on available services and ensure availability of resource materials in waiting/activity areas
  • Adhere to all CACNT security and procedural policies
  • Communicate any client concerns or needs with other staff to ensure high quality service
  • Ensure office and PPE supplies are available
  • Ensure that waiting spaces and activity center areas are clean, safe, and organized and adequately equipped with necessary supplies
  • Answer and transfer incoming calls, and distribute incoming/outgoing mail and faxes
  • Schedule transportation services for clients
  • Enter services in database as appropriate
  • Participate in scheduled team meetings
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must be willing to work at both Lewisville / Denton offices including off-site event locations
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Other duties as assignedย 

Schedule

  • Monday to Thursday 4 pm to 8 pm

Travel

This position will be in both the Denton and Lewisville, TX offices.ย  Travel to the Bridgeport office may be required if agency needs arise.

Education and Training

High School Diploma or GED required

Experience

  • A minimum of 1-year of experience in providing childcareย required.
  • A minimum of 1-year of experience in providing customer service required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred.
