How to make $300,000 as a nurse?

A part-time intake nurse can increase earnings by gaining specialized certifications, working in high-demand settings, or taking on additional shifts. Advancing to roles such as nurse practitioner or combining multiple part-time positions can also help reach higher income levels, but earning $300,000 annually typically requires full-time work or advanced roles with higher compensation.

What side hustles can I do as a nurse?

As a part-time intake nurse, you can pursue side hustles such as telehealth consulting, health coaching, or freelance medical writing, which leverage your clinical knowledge. Additionally, offering health education workshops or working as a medical reviewer can provide flexible income opportunities outside your primary role.

How to make an extra $2000 a month as a nurse?

A part-time intake nurse can increase income by taking on additional shifts, working in multiple healthcare facilities, or offering telehealth services. Gaining specialized certifications or skills in high-demand areas can also command higher pay rates and help reach the $2000 monthly extra income goal.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Jobs that can pay this amount without a degree often include sales, real estate, or certain skilled trades, but they may involve commission-based pay or self-employment. Achieving this income level part-time generally requires significant experience, high commissions, or entrepreneurial efforts.

About Us

CarePoint Response, Inc. (CPR) is a nationally recognized nonprofit and Baltimoreโ€™s only comprehensive crisis response system. Since 1992, weโ€™ve been at the forefront of behavioral health crisis care โ€” providing timely, community-based services for individuals and families experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Weekend Intake & Admissions Specialist to support the referral, screening, and admissions process for residential substance use disorder (SUD) treatment programs. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for incoming referrals, conduct intake screenings, review referral information for program eligibility, and coordinate with clinical and nursing staff to ensure appropriate admissions. You will document all intake activity in the electronic health record, verify insurance information, communicate admission decisions to referral sources, and maintain timely, accurate records of all referrals and outcomes. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support a smooth admissions process while ensuring professionalism, confidentiality, and compassionate communication with all stakeholders.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Oversee and manage the referral process for SUD program during assigned shift
  • Receive, track, and respond to referrals from hospitals, community providers, and internal programs
  • Conduct intake screenings via phone with potential clients, referral sources, and care partners
  • Review referrals against program criteria and identify need for nurse or clinical review
  • Escalate cases appropriately based on medical, psychiatric, or safety concerns
  • Communicate admission decisions and updates to referral sources in a timely and professional manner
  • Complete registration and intake documentation in Credible
  • Accurately document all outreach attempts, communications, and admission outcomes
  • Verify insurance information as required for intake processing
  • Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to support coordination of care
  • Support residential staff by facilitating timely and organized admissions to both CRU and Detox units
  • Participate in shift handoffs and communicate outstanding referrals or pending items
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and professional standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate respectful, empathetic communication at all times
  • Perform additional administrative or intake-related duties as assigned by the Admissions Manager, within the defined scope of the role

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working within behavioral health, healthcare, or public health systems preferred.
