Job description

TECH VALLEY FILTRATION

Inside Sales Representative

Location: Albany, NY (On-Site)  |  Pay: $20/hour  |  Schedule: Flexible Part-Time Hours

About the Role

Tech Valley Filtration is looking for a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This is a part-time position with flexible hours and a clear path to full-time for the right person. We’re a growing HVAC air filter distribution company that offers products used to provide clean indoor air quality.  Our customers are school districts, hospitals, data centers, industrial manufacturing, commercial buildings and HVAC service contractors.  Tech Valley Filtration’s success comes from building relationships with great service that lead to continuous repeat sales.  We need someone who is genuinely interested in sales, eager to learn about our industry, and ready to build relationships with customers initially over the phone.

What You'll Do

This role involves calling end users to confirm you’re speaking with the right decision-makers and gathering key information.  You’ll assess each conversation for real sales potential and uncover opportunities for new business.  Beyond calling, you'll research and identify new prospects, enter leads into our system, and keep detailed logs of all your activity. Every call you make should be documented in our online CRM so we can track progress and follow up effectively.

Training & Growth

We invest in our people. You’ll go through an online sales training program developed by one of the most recognized professional sales trainers in the country to learn proven techniques and best practices. You’ll also learn about our products, customers, and sales process. For those who are serious about a career in air filter sales, there are industry certification exams you can study for and complete. We’ll support you in that process. This role has real potential for growth—if you’re willing to put in the work, learn the industry, and prove yourself, there’s a path to a full-time sales position with increased responsibility and earning potential.

What We're Looking For

• Personable and professional phone presence

• Well-spoken with strong communication skills

• Genuine interest in sales and building customer relationships

• Comfortable making outbound calls and following up with prospects

• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately log calls and manage leads

• Self-motivated and eager to learn

• Skilled with computers and comfortable utilizing AI tools

• College degree preferred, but not required

Compensation & Schedule

Pay: $20.00 per hour plus commission on new sales

Hours: Part-time to start, with potential to become full-time

Schedule: Flexible part-time hours

How to Apply

Interested candidates should submit their resume. We look forward to hearing from you!
