Human Resources Specialist (Part-Time)
Total Water Treatment Systems, Inc.

Position Summary:
Total Water Treatment Systems, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Human Resources Specialist to support recruitment, hiring, onboarding, payroll, employee training, and general HR administration. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, professional, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.

Work Schedule:
Part-time, Monday through Friday, approximately 15–30 hours per week, with flexibility based on business needs and workload.

Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

  • Develop and maintain job descriptions and job postings.
  • Post positions and source candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, and other recruiting resources.
  • Review resumes, conduct candidate screenings and phone interviews, and coordinate interviews.
  • Partner with hiring managers and staffing agencies throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate reference checks, motor vehicle record checks, and background screenings.
  • Manage candidate communication through the offer and pre-employment process.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and ensure required employment documentation is completed accurately and timely.

HR Administration

  • Maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Learning Management System (LMS), training records, and electronic personnel files.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, training plans, benefits communication, and open enrollment.
  • Serve as a backup for biweekly payroll and bonus payroll administration.
  • Coordinate commission approvals with Sales and Management.
  • Assist the ESOP Administrator with employee education and communication.

Employee Engagement & General HR

  • Prepare and distribute the monthly employee newsletter.
  • Assist with employee recognition, celebrations, and Company events.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow Company policies and procedures.
  • Build positive relationships with employees, managers, applicants, and external partners.
  • Communicate significant HR issues and concerns to the Human Resources Manager.
  • Travel to Company locations as needed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience preferred.
  • Experience recruiting for professional, technical, or difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Payroll experience required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ATS and HRIS systems preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and perform computer and document work.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to travel between Company locations as needed.
  • This is a light-duty position with limited exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
