Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children's Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
Schedule: 6p-12a; Contingent, as needed no guaranteed hours

Essential Functions:
  • Drives shuttle vehicles, following designated routes and schedules to transport passengers in a timely manner.
  • Adheres to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the shuttle.
  • Assists passengers with boarding and de-boarding the shuttle. Communicates effectively to provide information and directions.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of shuttle interior and exterior and the proper fuel supply.
  • Monitors activity in parking lots and various areas and frequently performs random patrols of assigned area.
  • Responds safely, effectively, and efficiently (SEE) to all related matters that come to their attention and in the performance of activities as assigned.

Education Requirement:
High School diploma, required.
Licensure Requirement:
Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children's Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

  • Ability to be proficient in the safe operation of Security shuttle vehicles.
  • Ability to read and comprehend hospital/departmental policies and procedures and regulatory publications.
