What does a part time histology supervisor do?

A Part Time Histology Supervisor oversees the daily operations of a histology laboratory on a part-time basis. They are responsible for supervising staff, ensuring that laboratory procedures comply with quality and safety standards, managing workflow, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, they may assist with troubleshooting technical issues, training new employees, and implementing new protocols. Their role is crucial in ensuring that tissue samples are processed, sectioned, and stained correctly for pathological examination.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time histology supervisor?

To thrive as a Part Time Histology Supervisor, you need expertise in histological techniques, lab management, and a relevant degree in biological sciences or medical technology, often accompanied by ASCP certification.
