We are looking for reliable, motivated, and positive individuals with a great work ethic for our full-service event and private dining facility located in South Bend. This is a great opportunity for students and anyone looking for a part-time, or full-time job with reliable hours.

*This is an hourly paid position with additional gratuities from events/guests.

*Prior serving experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Greet, seat, and escort guests
  • Communicate features and suggestively sell menu items
  • Answer telephone, take reservations, takeout orders
  • Take guests food/ beverage orders and enter into POS
  • Serve food and beverages, checking for completion and proper order
  • Clear/Clean/ Reset tables
  • Service all tables using Steps of Service
  • Stock stations and perform opening/closing duties, i.e., gather from walk-in, dry storage, dish room, polish and roll silverware, place food into containers, etc.
  • Transport soiled dishes and/or soiled dish tubs, where applicable
  • Keep floors and dining rooms clean
  • Tender guest checks, make change (member accounts, cash, credit card payments)
  • Refill beverages promptly
  • Provide SUPERIOR service to members and guests

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have or obtain a liquor license in the state of Indiana
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Must possess teamwork and communication skills

Company Introduction

Morris Park Country Club, established in 1923 and having just celebrated its Centennial Year in 2023, is a private member-owned club located two miles east of downtown South Bend, Indiana and two miles southeast of the campus of the University of Notre Dame. The Club is comprised of 535 Members and their families.

The Club completed its $7 million Second Century Project in 2021, which included a new pool complex and renovation of the clubhouse. Facilities include an 18-hole golf course and practice facility, practice green and short game area, 2 indoor golf simulators, fitness area and yoga studio, full-service dining areas and event spaces for groups up to 300, a 6-lane zero-entry swimming pool, and four outdoor tennis/pickleball courts. The Club is open to the membership six days a week, year-round except for the first two weeks of January.
