About Our Family:
We are a busy, energetic family living in downtown New York City, balancing demanding careers with raising our 9-month-old and keeping our golden retriever entertained. Life with us is fast-paced and full of movement, whether it's work, family time, or getting ready for an upcoming trip. While we thrive on staying busy, we also know that sometimes we need help to keep everything running smoothly.
When we're not working, we enjoy spending time away from the city and love to travel. We're looking for someone who can step in to manage things while we're on the go, whether it's supporting our child, maintaining the household, or handling logistics for our trips.
Our ideal candidate will feel like part of the family, someone we can rely on to manage everything from meal prep to packing for travel, and who can lend a hand with childcare when needed. You'll be joining a fun and dynamic household where flexibility, organization, and an even keel are essential. If you thrive in a lively environment, enjoy tackling various tasks, and love helping a family keep things running smoothly, you'll fit right in with us.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who's not just a "doer," but a forward-thinker. You're the kind of person who can anticipate needs and jump into action without needing to be told. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to whatever comes your way, whether it's managing travel plans, keeping the household running smoothly, or stepping in to provide childcare support.
Your energy is key to fitting in with us-you're positive, calm, and bring a warm, friendly vibe to the home. You'll be working alongside our full-time nanny, so being a team player is essential. You're organized, detail-oriented, and can handle everything from the little tasks (like loading the dishwasher and handling packages) to the big ones (like organizing seasonal clothing swaps or managing family travel). You're a quick learner, and you're comfortable adapting based on feedback, whether it's adjusting your approach or changing direction when needed. You're comfortable with both flexibility and structure, knowing when to pitch in and when to take initiative.
We're also looking for someone who's excited to be with us for the long haul and can adapt as our child grows and our family's needs evolve. If you're comfortable with the occasional overnight stay when we travel and can roll with the frenetic nature of our schedules, you'll fit right in. Bonus points if you speak German and are open to helping us introduce the language to our little one! If you're someone who brings a calm, organized, and flexible approach to your work and is excited to be part of our family, we'd love to meet you!
