About the Role
Simulation Specialists are professional actors who use digital avatars to deliver a wide range of simulation scenarios to provide individual learners opportunities to practice and master complex interpersonal skills. Simulation Specialists will have a high level of emotional intelligence, strong active listening skills, effective communication skills, the ability to portray a wide range of personality profiles, and the ability to provide a positive and impactful Learner experience. Simulation Specialists should also be comfortable using and adapting to a variety of evolving technologies. This role may portray avatars across various age ranges (from childhood to adult) and industries (from education to healthcare to corporate).
This is a part-time position requiring 20-30 hours per week, paid at $28/hr. We are looking to hire overnight Simulation Specialists, working within the hours of 12am - 8am Eastern. The Simulation Specialist(s) we hire must speak native-proficiency German, as they will be delivering scenarios to learners in both German and English. Professional acting experience is required.
What You'll Do
Session Delivery:
  • Consistently deliver a variety of scenarios you are trained and certified on in an accurate, reliable, and professional manner in alignment with stated learning objectives.
  • Portray a variety of perspectives using Mursion's proprietary technology.
  • Facilitate reflection debrief with diverse Learner populations in alignment with stated learning objectives.
  • Complete all operational session tasks including providing balanced and fair feedback to Learners and providing accurate and fair scores related to Learners' performance.
  • Complete additional forms and attendance as required for each simulation delivery.
  • Use and adapt quickly to evolving technology.

Learner Engagement
  • Promote and provide excellent customer service as the session host including welcoming, explaining logistics, answering questions, providing information, and facilitating reflection in a courteous and professional manner across diverse Learner populations.
  • Consistently establish and enforce stated policies and expectations with Learners.
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct.
  • Adhere to policies that protect Learner privacy.

Task Management & Policies
  • Proactively and effectively organize and manage availability, session, and other work-related schedules.
  • Effectively prioritize session delivery, training, internal meetings, and other tasks assigned as needed in alignment with stated deadlines and expectations.
  • Remain compliant to availability policies and protocols based on the Delivery Team assigned.
  • Adhere to internal policies and communications expectations..
  • Adhere to all policies that protect Mursion's Intellectual Property.
  • Target billing hours to consist of 80%+ service delivery on average.

Requirements
Requirements/Qualifications
  • At least 3 years experience as a professional actor, with improv experience strongly preferred.
  • Native-proficiency speaker of German and English, able to deliver scenarios to clients in both languages.
  • Work experience outside of professional acting in customer-facing industries or roles, preferably in customer service or hospitality environments.
  • Ability to work Mon-Fri within the hours of the team designated as requested: 12am-8am ET for the overnight team.
  • Available to consistently deliver 20 - 30 hrs per week.
  • Able to complete a rigorous (paid) training plan autonomously and on time (65 to 85 hours total) within 4 to 6 weeks. Will begin delivering while continuing training.
  • Excellent with written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work from a private and quiet work location with strong and stable internet connection is a must:

  • Reside in one of the following US states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia.
