Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION:
  • Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Anthropology courses up to 10 hours/week
  • Organize and teach all levels of Anthropology classes
  • Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning;
  • Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses;
  • Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester;
  • Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired

Essential Duties Summary
REQUIRED DUTIES:
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Required Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications stated below:
  • Master's in Anthropology or Archaeology OR
  • Bachelor's in either of the above And Master's in Sociology , Biological Sciences, Forensic Sciences, Genetics, or Paleontology OR
  • The equivalent.

All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District (YCCD) by the application filing date. Alternatively, applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement. Yuba Community College District maintains an ongoing recruitment for qualified candidates to fill part-time, temporary (adjunct) faculty positions. These positions are filled on an as-needed basis, depending on the instructional and student service needs of the colleges.
