Description:

The Mortgage Loan Administrator plays a critical role in the mortgage lending process by managing residential mortgage loan files from application through closing. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of loan processing, ensuring files are complete, accurate, compliant, and closed on time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, customer-focused, and experienced in mortgage documentation and compliance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Helps manage and support the Mortgage Loan Originators’ pipeline, ensuring all milestones, deadlines, and closing conditions are met.
  • Handles mortgage loan files from start to finish, including disclosure preparation, document collection, verification, and closing coordination.
  • Orders, monitors, tracks, and reviews third-party services such as appraisals, title insurance, flood determinations, tax transcripts, and verifications of employment.
  • Analyzes and verifies borrower income, assets, and employment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepares, generates, and balances all required loan origination and closing documents with closing agents.
  • Proficiency in Byte Pro Enterprise and Laser Pro systems for task management, document creation, and imaging/scanning functions.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of underwriting guidelines, investor requirements, and state and federal regulatory standards.
  • Prepares closed loan files for post-closing review, including compliance checklists and secondary market sale eligibility.
  • Collaborates closely with loan originators and internal team members to ensure a smooth and efficient mortgage process.
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
  • Actively upholds the organization’s vision, mission and values, encompassing mutual respect, honoring commitments, working with integrity and accepting responsibility for own actions.

Requirements:
  • Two years of business-related college coursework and/or relevant work experience preferred, ideally within lending or financial services; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Prior experience with loan documentation and mortgage processing is preferred.
  • Proficiency with personal computer applications; experience with mortgage loan systems is a plus.
  • Intermediate math skills, including calculating interest, percentages, ratios, and balancing accounts.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Professional demeanor and positive company representation.
