Responsibilities
  • Act as a role model by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships through genuine interactions. Support community engagement initiatives to strengthen brand presence.
  • Assist in training and developing team members, leading by example, and providing coaching and support to ensure team success.
  • Help drive store performance by identifying customer needs, providing personalized styling recommendations, and contributing to achieving sales targets.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of J.Jill's products to support customers in making confident purchasing decisions.
  • Assist with store operations, including opening and closing store, manager on duty, visual merchandising, floor sets, inventory management, and adherence to company policies.
  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, proactively address challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, and support leadership in maintaining a meaningful customer experience.
  • Navigate various communication settings across different levels of the organization, adjusting messaging to fit diverse audiences.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to help your store be successful.

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in women's specialty retail or a strong sales, customer-obsessed environment.
  • Passion for customer service and building meaningful relationships.
  • Strong ability to support, inspire, and motivate a team.
  • Proven track record of contributing to sales and customer engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing/pulling and maneuvering around store, hang/fold merchandise, ladder climbing, operate POS registers and other company mobile devices, occasionally operate trash compactor (where applicable), occasionally use a hand truck, lift and carry up to 30lbs, and ability to joint/team lift.
