We invite you to attend our upcoming Job Fair on Monday, October 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Applicants will have the opportunity to meet directly with hiring managers and participate in a one-on-one interview. Please review the job description below. Completing your application in advance is strongly recommended to ensure a smooth process, and don't forget to bring a copy of your resume.
Location: Longleaf Restaurant - 1345 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta GA 30309
Please park in the garage and make your way to the Garden entrance. Upon arrival, check in at the Hardin Visitor Center, where you will be directed to Longleaf Restaurant. Parking will be validated for Job Fair attendees.
If you are unable to attend, your application will still be reviewed.
Position Summary
The bartender is enthusiastic and provides excellent guest experience by creating classic and innovative drinks exceeding guest needs and expectations during the dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Handle all preparation of bar products, mixing ingredients, and serving drinks
  • Ensure solid product knowledge of all items being sold
  • Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adhere to all alcohol service policies and procedures
  • Perform clean up duties to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment
  • Perform breakdown of all products and supplies that are pulled and return product to the appropriate storage location

Requirements
  • 2+ year bartending experience in an upscale full-service restaurant including a full-service bar
  • 2+ year experience mixing craft cocktails from scratch
  • Must have completed alcohol service training - TIPS certification
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to be organized
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to change
  • Attention to detail and excellent math skills
  • Must be able to interact with the public in a confident and professional manner
  • Demonstrate excellent listening and clear speaking skills
  • Exceptional communications skills - communicating with guests to receive orders
  • Must have access to reliable transportation and be able to report to work on a changing schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical requirements
  • Standing and walking 100% of the time
  • Position occasionally requires the ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
  • Must be able to work outside at times, including in the elements during all seasons
