Administrative Assistant (Part-Time | Contract-to-Hire)
LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a well-established organization to identify an Administrative Assistant for a part-time, contract-to-hire opportunity. This position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys supporting daily operations, interacting with stakeholders, and keeping administrative processes running smoothly.
Compensation: $20.00-$24.00/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to department leadership and staff.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain correspondence, reports, contracts, and departmental records.
  • Coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes.
  • Create and track purchase orders, requisitions, and other financial documentation.
  • Review and process invoices while maintaining accurate vendor records.
  • Order office supplies and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming inquiries and service requests.
  • Communicate professionally with internal departments, external agencies, vendors, and community stakeholders.
  • Assist with newsletters, website updates, and other communications as needed.
  • Provide reception and front desk coverage when required.
  • Support special projects, events, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Maintain confidential records and information with discretion.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative, office support, customer service, or operations experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Professional and customer-service-oriented approach.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, English, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a government, nonprofit, or highly regulated environment.
  • Experience with purchase orders, invoicing, vendor management, or financial systems.
