Job description

Temporary Gate Staff

Come be a part of the magic of the annual summer Fair. The Gallatin County Fairgrounds is hiring Temporary Gate Staff to work the 2026 Big Sky Country State Fair. Best part, you can enjoy the Fair for free when you're not on shift!

Compensation: $20.00/hr. Hours: FT (40 hrs/wk.) or PT Dates of Fair: July 15 - 19, 2026

Duties:

  • Sell and check tickets at the entrance gates for the Big Sky Country State Fair
  • Help orient guests with the layout of the Big Sky Country State Fair and schedule of events
  • Set up and break down of workstation depending on shift

Qualifications:

  • Able to handle money, scanners, and crowds
  • Able to communicate with the public
  • Work outside majority of the time in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work varying shifts and weekends as needed.

Hours:

  • Assigned shifts of 7A โ€“ 4P; 2P โ€“ 11P during Big Sky Country State Fair July 15 - 19, 2026
  • Please specify availability when applying.
