Job description

Are you a CDL Driver that would benefit from a Part Time career with flexible hours and no overnight travel? This is a great part-time job for a retired CDL Driver or School Bus Driver or anyone that is looking for extra work on the weekend or weekdays.
Excel Truck Group is seeking Part Time CDL A Drivers to transport newly sold trucks from our Charlotte, NC Dealership to local customers. No overnight travel.

  • Flexible Day Shift Schedule: Enjoy working the hours that best fit you! Many drivers work 10am-2pm or 12-4pm. Weekend work is also available.
  • Advancement Opportunities: In this role you will have the option to move into a full time driver role with Excel Truck Group.
  • No Touch, No Haul Routes: Quit worrying about your haul! In this role you are transporting the vehicle alone!

Qualifications:
  • Valid CDL Class A Driver's License
  • Good, qualified driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical
  • Drug/Alcohol free
  • Available to work additional hours as needed.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather.

Essential Functions:
  • Able to drive safely trucks to local and some customers generally within a 100 radius. Able to move truck units and support our other departments as needed to move inventory.
  • Must understand and comply with all DOT regulations and our Safety Standards.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
  • Drives truck in a safe manner at all times, always wearing safety belt.
  • Report maintenance problems to the manager or supervisor.
  • Follow all safety regulations and precautions.
  • Wear all required and necessary Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Flexible to the multiple needs of our Dealership and willing to assist in any task to assist our customers.
  • Performs other related work as required.
