Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
The Facilities Specialist at the Belle Glade locationassists in the care and upkeep of all buildings and grounds. The Facilities Specialist cares for the day-to-day maintenance of buildings and grounds, partners with staff, and builds volunteer teams to serve alongside them. All candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, some weekends, and holidays. This is a part-time, hourly (non-exempt) position, working 25 hours per week.
JOB DUTIES:
  • Lead and execute all facilities responsibilities as the dedicated on-site staff member.
  • Lead, develop, and grow facilities volunteer teams, providing training, resources, and encouragement.
  • Build and communicate weekly team schedules to coordinate coverage and support.
  • Oversee and actively participate in setup and tear-down for services, meetings, classrooms, conferences, and special events both on and off campus.
  • Maintain buildings and grounds, including custodial support, minor repairs, and general maintenance.
  • Monitor building conditions regularly and proactively address issues.
  • Respond to work orders, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion.
  • Safely operate vehicles, power tools, and equipment as needed.
  • Provide logistical support for campus events, including DIESEL, Sisterhood, Easter/Christmas, and CF Conference.
  • Assist with emergency responses and alarm calls as needed.
  • Support and enforce all Christ Fellowship policies, including OSHA regulations and church health and safety guidelines.
  • Coordinate with vendors for repairs, maintenance, and other facility needs.
  • Perform other tasks and projects assigned by campus leadership or Central Facilities to ensure smooth campus operations.

EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma
  • Associate's Degree or Higher preferred, but not required

CERTIFICATION OR LICENSES:
  • Florida Driver's License
  • CDL preferred but not required
  • OSHA Certifications strongly preferred

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:
3 - 5 years of relevant experience
