Job description

We are partnered with a wonderful organization seeking a Director of Surgical Services provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for perioperative services. This leader oversees quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, financial performance, physician relationships, staffing, and service line growth while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

This is a full time, salaried and benefited role. 

Shift is full time days, no weekends.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide executive oversight of Surgical Services operations
  • Lead quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Direct staffing, labor management, budgeting, and resource utilization
  • Improve patient throughput and operational efficiency
  • Partner with physicians and hospital leadership to grow service lines
  • Develop leaders, mentor managers, and strengthen employee engagement
  • Oversee capital equipment and supply management
  • Drive strategic planning, process improvement, and patient experience

What is required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum of 2 years of Inpatient Acute Care Director of Surgical Services experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Inpatient Acute Care surgical services experience as a licensed registered nurse
    • Trauma experience a PLUS!
  • Current KS RN license or multi-state compact license
