Experience & Events Manager

A.K.A. Good Times Facilitator!

Location: Radius Production and Taproom, 17 W 4th Ave., Emporia, KS 66801

Type: Full-Time (30–40 hours/week)

About Us

We're a locally owned craft brewery featuring a 15-barrel production brewery, two spacious taprooms, a food truck serving sliders and sides, and a full beverage lineup including craft beer, cocktails, mocktails, and non-alcoholic options. We're looking for someone who wants to help build a destination through awesome events and an engaging Taproom experience.

Position Summary

The Taproom & Events Manager is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience while growing our taproom through events, partnerships, and community engagement.

This role combines hospitality leadership with event planning/promotion and operational oversight. You'll lead the taproom team while developing creative ways to bring new and returning guests through our doors. To ensure the ability to provide a well-rounded experience with full knowledge of all things Radius, bartender training and food truck operations will be a part of the welcoming process!

Responsibilities

Events & Community

  • Plan and coordinate recurring and special events
  • Develop partnerships with local businesses, organizations, clubs, and nonprofits
  • Book and coordinate private events and rentals
  • Serve as the primary contact for event inquiries
  • Increase Radius visibility through various marketing channels, including social media
  • Help promote events through social media and community outreach

The Taproom Experience

  • Coordinate with bartenders and food truck staff to ensure all shifts are covered and sufficient staff is present for special events
  • Maintain taproom and bar Inventory by coordinating with staff and suppliers
  • Provide input on cocktail and mocktail programs and ensure quality and consistency of those programs is maintained
  • Ensure proper training occurs when new members of the team are brought on board
  • Provide input on food truck recipes and food items
  • Ensure a clean, welcoming, and efficient guest experience

Leadership

  • Lead by example in customer service
  • Help foster a positive team culture
  • Identify opportunities to improve operations and increase sales

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Organized and dependable
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable experiences
  • Comfortable being the lead for a small team

Experience in hospitality, restaurants, breweries, bars, event planning, or customer service is strongly preferred, but we're willing to train the right person with the right attitude.

  • $18 per hour
