Position Summary
The Senior Cogito BI Developer provides advanced analytic support to functional clinical and business areas in order to support operational reporting needs and enable actionable insights and strategies. This role drives the delivery of data solutions using Epic's Cogito suite of tools (including SlicerDicer, Radar, Reporting Workbench) and databases (Caboodle, Clarity) to help deliver Value across Children Minnesota's six domains of quality care: Effective, Timely, Efficient, Safe, Equitable, and Patient Centered. The Developer will design, build, and deliver comprehensive data solutions that guide decision-making, population health management, cost containment, and quality improvement strategies. This position is responsible for supporting the design, creation and automation of reports, creating executive-level dashboards, and presenting information to help leaders and stakeholders across the organization understand the operational and clinical impacts of the data.
Location (e.g. remote or on-site): Remote with occasional on-site/in-person meetings. Must be Minnesota or Wisconsin resident.
*Epic Cogito certification required. Additional certification in Clarity, Caboodle, Clinical Data Model or Access Data Model strongly preferred. Relevant certification must be maintained ongoing.
Education:
*Bachelor's degrees in Business, Healthcare Management, Computer Science, Statistics, Management Information Systems or related field required or equivalent experience.
Experience:
*Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cogito BI Developer or similar role.
*Experience in healthcare business intelligence and analytics preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
*Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
*Ability to lead and influence stakeholders to drive better outcomes using data.
*Extensive knowledge of business and healthcare processes and the structure and content of the data they generate.
*Ability to influence teams and have crucial conversations with tact.
*Ability to clearly translate business/clinical needs into detailed requirements, and the ability to effectively communicate those requirements to technical and non-technical teammates.
*Extensive experience developing using the Cogito suite of BI tools (SlicerDicer, Radar, Reporting Workbench, Executive Web Dashboards), and good judgment as to when each tool is applicable for a given business use case.
*Passionate about data and lots of it, and driven by curiosity through creative problem-solving.

Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee's scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
