Job description

This position is a part-time, temporary position filled each semester on an as-needed basis. This posting will stay open continuously in order to build a pool of qualified candidates for future openings as lab coordinators. Applicants will not be notified unless there is an actual need to fill the position.
Responsibilities include assisting Program Chair or Adjunct Faculty in answering questions from students regarding lab projects; teaching demonstrations; performing minor repairs on equipment; preparing equipment and materials for labs; and maintaining tool room.
Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. Promote same as an integral part of one's work.

High school diploma required; Two years of welding experience; Mechanical aptitude; good communication skills; ability to work independently; and be able to lift 50 pounds.

Technical Certificate and two years on-the-job training as a preferred.

Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.
