Job description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Part-Time Elevator Subcode Official responsible for performing elevator and related inspections in accordance with the requirements of the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code (UCC) and applicable state and local regulations.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid New Jersey UCC Elevator Subcode Official license/certification required.
  • Experience performing elevator inspections in New Jersey REQUIRED.
  • Knowledge of the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code and applicable elevator regulations.
  • Ability to independently conduct inspections and prepare clear, accurate reports.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with contractors, design professionals, property owners, and public officials.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible inspection schedule.
