Overview:
Audacy Portland is looking for a Part-Time On-Air Voice Tracker for weekdays 2pm - 7pm.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
  • Perform and execute a content-driven show as an on-air personality, with a heavy emphasis on delivering high-quality, seamless voice-tracked segments.
  • Prepare for voice-tracked and live air shifts using creativity, imagination, and independent professional judgment in writing, producing, interviewing, taping, and broadcasting on-air material.
  • Efficiently voice track and finalize content using digital audio editing software, including Wide Orbit, Vox Pro, and Adobe Audition.
  • Record and edit interviews for seamless integration into voice-tracked shows, as well as host local live events.
  • Develop and post unique content to the station's social media channels.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Manager and other employees on format execution and station goals.
  • Participate in required station Programming, Promotions, and Sales staff meetings and events.
  • Represent the station at client and/or community events.
  • Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly and integrated smoothly into daily logs.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • The ideal candidate will possess an authentic and relatable personality with a strong ability to create entertaining and relevant content for the station's target audience, both on-air (live and voice-tracked) and on social media.
  • Highly proficient in voice tracking and media production systems; advanced experience with Wide Orbit voice tracking is strictly required, along with proficiency in Vox Pro and Adobe Audition.
  • Socially informed and perceptive; up-to-date and in tune daily with local/national news, pop culture, and trends relevant to the station's audience.
  • Possess a broad knowledge of artists and titles within the station's specific format.
  • Skilled in content curation and planning out compelling breaks ahead of time for tracked shifts.
  • Ability to handle emergency inserts seamlessly into voice-tracked logs (e.g., news updates, breaking stories, and emergencies); on call for possible breaking news.
  • Social media savvy.

Preferred:
  • Prior on-air radio experience preferred, with a strong, demonstrated background in voice tracking multiple markets or dayparts.
  • Audio demo required showcasing voice-tracked breaks, live on-air breaks, interviews, commentary, and announcements.
  • Demonstrated upbeat personality that is informative, entertaining, and engaging on the air; able to relate to the station's targeted audience.
  • Strong knowledge of all FCC rules and regulations.
