Job description

Patty Baker Humane Society Naples (PBHSN) is seeking a creative and motivated part time Social Media Associate to support our communications and marketing efforts. The Social Media Associate will play a vital role in advancing our lifesaving mission by documenting the daily work done at the shelter, sharing meaningful stories, and helping promote programs, events, and adoptable pets across our social platforms.
This role is ideal for someone interested in social media, communications, nonprofit marketing, and/or animal welfare, who has a passion for digital storytelling and creating engaging, real-time content to showcase our shelter.

Schedule & Compensation
  • $15/hour. This position is not eligible for benefits.
  • Flexible scheduling based on availability, but some weekend availability will be needed for events
  • 2-3 days per week, up to 24 hours per week

Responsibilities
  • Film short-form content (Reels/TikToks/Stories) on-site at the shelter
  • Capture behind-the-scenes moments, adoptable pets, events, and day-to-day shelter life
  • Follow provided content vision, inspiration, and shot lists for each visit
  • Brainstorm creative ideas to help grow audience and engagement
  • Upload raw content to shared drive after each shoot or airdrop
  • Editing is not required

Requirements
  • 18 years or older
  • Must have/have access to an iPhone - required for high quality, consistent video capture
  • Reliable transportation to the shelter
  • Strong interest or background in social media content creation
  • Strong written communication and story-telling skills
  • Positive, collaborative, and compassionate attitude
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable around dogs, cats and other small domesticated mammals
