Job Title: PART-TIME EARLY CHILDHOOD FAMILY EDUCATION (ECFE) PARAPROFESSIONAL

Primarily based at the Faribault Education Center

Job Description:
Faribault Public Schools is seeking a Part-Time Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) Paraprofessional to join our ECFE team. This position assists ECFE teachers in creating a welcoming, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children and their families.

Responsibilities include preparing and setting up classroom materials, assisting teachers during ECFE classes, supporting children's learning and engagement, and providing sibling care for children of various ages during parent-child classes. The paraprofessional will work collaboratively with ECFE staff to support program goals and family participation.

This position follows the ECFE program calendar and averages approximately 810 hours per week during the school year. Work schedules vary based on class offerings and program needs, with reduced hours during the summer months. (Monday evenings, Tuesday afternoons, 1-2 Wednesday evenings p/month, Thursday mornings) Class 2 Paraprofessional $20.13 p/ hour. 

Qualifications:

  • Associate of Arts (AA) degree preferred.
  • Must speak Spanish or Somali and English.
  • Experience working with young children and knowledge of child development preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with children, families, and staff in a team-oriented environment.
