The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering to join our team in Jessup, MD! The ideal candidate has an interest in database technologies and Oracle, software engineering best practices, and real-world application development. This opportunity offers hands-on experience working with enterprise systems in a collaborative engineering environment. The position will be a hybrid schedule, allowing for a balance between in-person collaboration and independent work from home.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead in the design, development, and maintenance of applications that interact with Oracle databases.
  • Write advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.
  • Lead database-related development tasks, data validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning sessions, and other Agile team ceremonies.
  • Help document technical processes, system behavior, and application workflows.
  • Lead testing, debugging, and quality assurance efforts.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to understand system architecture and implementation details.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Advanced understanding of programming concepts in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar.
  • Experience with relational database concepts (tables, joins, indexes, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of Oracle tools, SQL, and database development.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate in a team setting.
