The Instrumentationย Startup Engineer position is an exciting opportunity to join PM Groupโ€™s quickly growing Outsourced Technical Services(OTS) team at a site near Zebulon, NC. Outsourced Technical Services (OTS) is an integral part of PM Groupโ€™s ability to support clients across the complete project life cycle. PM Group is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Startup Engineer to support the startup and operational readiness of a large-scale life sciences manufacturing facility. This field-based role will support commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and turnover of instrumentation systems while working closely with engineering, automation, CQV, operations, and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities
  • Support startup and commissioning of instrumentation systems.
  • Participate in field troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Perform system walkdowns and support punch list closure.
  • Assist with loop checks and functional testing.
  • Coordinate with Automation, Electrical, CQV, vendors, and Operations.
  • Support operational readiness and system turnover activities.
  • Assist with startup documentation and commissioning records.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
  • Experience supporting startup or commissioning activities within regulated manufacturing
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to work full-time onsite
