American Plastics, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household & garage storage and commercial cleaning end-markets. We are searching for an Human Resources Intern, this position is located in Findlay, OH.

  • HR Intern position located in Findlay OH, we are looking for a Part Time HR Intern and the hours a based upon the candidate's school schedule. 
  • This position will report to the Human Resources Manager, this is an onsite position, and we will not be paying for relocation. 
  • You must be a US Citizen.

  Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Talent Acquisition in sourcing new candidates
  • Updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details.
  • Screening potential hourly production employees' resumes/application to identify suitable candidates to fill vacancies.
  • Assisting in posting job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms.
  • Launching and completing onboarding process via the applicant tracking system.
  • Assisting in coordinating new hire orientations.
  • Assisting in responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits and other HR-related matters.
  • Maintain monthly team member newsletter.
  • Help plan and execute team member recognition and retention initiatives.

Requirements

  • Studying for a degree in human resource management or related field.
  • Proven experience working in an office environment.
  • Working  knowledge of U.S. labor laws, a plus.
  • Familiarity  with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is preferred.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
