Are you a Georgia licensed Nurse Practitioner looking for a flexible opportunity that fits around your existing practice or commitments?

Southern Health Partners is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide quality healthcare services at the Houston County Detention Center. This part-time role offers the flexibility to create a schedule that works for you while allowing you to make a meaningful impact on an underserved patient population.

Applicants must have an established collaborating physician who is willing to provide the required collaboration for this position.

What You'll Do

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations

Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions

Order and interpret diagnostic testing as appropriate

Collaborate with nursing staff, correctional personnel, and your collaborating physician to provide high-quality patient care

Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation

Promote quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a safe and structured environment

‍ What We're Looking For

Active Georgia Nurse Practitioner license

Current DEA registration (if applicable)

Established collaborating physician willing to provide collaboration for this position

Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to work independently while partnering with an interdisciplinary healthcare team

Experience in primary care, family practice, emergency medicine, urgent care, or correctional healthcare is preferred, but not required
