Job description

Part Time Maintenance Technician
We are looking for a Full Time Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility of preserving the good condition and functionality of affordable housing properties. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly in a fast paced and detailed environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Starting Pay:$18 per hour
Experience:
Maintenance experience is preferred
Detail oriented
Basic technology (smart phone/computer)
Organizational skills
Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired
Responsibilities include:
-Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
-Perform maintenance and installation of systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, change filter furnaces etc.), assist in setup of systems and conduct repairs when necessary, maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
-Ability to navigate smart phone, electronic work orders
-Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
-Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
-Willing to perform a variety of maintenance tasks including painting, HVAC troubleshooting, janitorial, inspections, landscaping, snow removal, etc.
-ability to lift up to 90lbs and stand for up to 8 hours
