Maintenance Technician Part-Time
Location: Our Lady of Victory, Northville
Employment Type: Part-Time
Reports To: Director of Facilities
Position Summary
Our Lady of Victory Parish in Northville is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of repairs and routine maintenance across our church, school, and parish facilities on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate is a versatile, hands-on professional with a broad range of technical skills who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for our parish community.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs
  • Inspect buildings and facilities for damage or maintenance needs
  • Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment across church, school, and parish grounds
  • Assist with event setup and teardown for parish and school functions
  • Support occasional special events throughout the year, including some weekends and holidays
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Previous experience in general maintenance or a related field
  • Knowledge of basic building systems and repairs (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
