Clinical Trial Nurse - Per Diem - Houston, TX

Work Set-Up: Local Travel - In-Home Patient Visits

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to conduct in-home visits and support clinical trial patients participating in groundbreaking research studies.

This per diem opportunity offers flexible scheduling, including morning and early afternoon visits, making it ideal for PRN nurses, part-time clinicians, or nurses looking to supplement their income while expanding their experience in clinical research.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct in-home visits with clinical trial patients.

  • Collect clinical data and biological samples to support the safety and efficacy evaluation of investigational treatments.

  • Perform nursing procedures and protocol-related activities, including:

    • Blood draws/phlebotomy

    • Vital signs collection

    • Urine specimen collection

    • Medication administration, as required

    • Subcutaneous injections, when applicable

    • Accurate labeling, handling, and shipment of specimens

  • Document adverse events (AEs), serious adverse events (SAEs), and Mental Health (MH) reviews accurately and within required timelines.

  • Maintain compliance with study protocols, sponsor requirements, and nursing standards.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.

  • Current BLS certification required.

  • Recent hands-on experience performing blood draws/phlebotomy.

  • Experience performing blood draws on pediatric patients ages 2-20, particularly those with developmental and/or cognitive disorders, strongly preferred.

  • Comfortable using basic computer and software applications.

  • Flexible availability with the ability to travel locally/regional distances (up to 90 miles).

  • Reliable transportation, internet access, and mobile phone required.

  • Pediatric nursing experience preferred.

  • Prior clinical research experience is a plus.

The potential base pay range for this role is $50.00-$60.00 per hour.
