Essential Job Duties:

  • Welcome guests with friendly, helpful customer service and provide general information upon entry. Ensure maximum gate coverage whenever guests are on property.
  • Monitor and maintain control at the entrance to deter and prevent unsafe or inappropriate behavior on Ridgecrest property.
  • Assist with crowd and traffic control during peak times, events, or emergencies.
  • Conduct routine safety patrols by vehicle and on foot, both on and off campus.
  • Follow established procedures for gate operations, resetting circuit breakers, patrolling the cemetery, and responding to fire alarms.
  • Administer basic first aid as needed and respond to guest incidents by investigating and documenting accidents.
  • In the event of a vehicle accident involving a guest, report details to the Highway Patrol in accordance with protocol.
  • Ensure buildings are secured by performing scheduled lock and unlock procedures.
  • Completes other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate
  • Must be first aid/CPR certified and Blood borne trained
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Knowledgeable in areas of fire codes, safety, OSHA regulations
  • Able to perform under high levels of stress
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, essential for interacting with guests, staff, and emergency personnel
  • Strong customer service and public relations skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming and safe environment for conference attendees
  • Basic computer proficiency for reporting, communication, and accessing scheduling or incident management systems
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities such as gate operations, patrols, and response protocols effectively

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, as the role involves moving throughout the facility and performing hands-on tasks.
  • Must be able to work long hours, including standing, walking, and performing physical tasks continuously throughout the shift.
  • Must be comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings, and under varying temperatures and weather conditions
