Norton’s of Green Lake in Green Lake, WI is hiring Line Cooks to join our culinary team! We are seeking motivated and dependable individuals who thrive in a fun, fast-paced kitchen environment. Some experience is required, but we are willing to train candidates who are eager to learn and have a passion for food.

We are hiring for multiple stations including Salad, Fry, Grill, and Sauté. If you take pride in preparing high-quality dishes, enjoy working as part of a team, and want to contribute to a restaurant that celebrates the Lake Life experience, we'd love to have you on our crew.


SHIFTS AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY

  • Lunch shifts (9 AM – 5 PM) and
  • Dinner shifts (2 PM – 11 PM)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and cook menu items across assigned stations (Salad, Fry, Grill, or Sauté) according to recipes and standards
  • Slice, cut, shred, tenderize, and skewer meat, fish, and vegetables as needed for service
  • Braise, grill, fry, or sauté ingredients while maintaining quality and consistency
  • Cook proteins and vegetables to customers' preferences while preventing cross-contamination
  • Track meal components to ensure timely completion and plating of dishes
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
  • Inform the manager of any equipment maintenance, repair, or replacement needs
  • Work collaboratively with chefs, servers, and team members during peak service

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous cooking experience in a restaurant kitchen required; willing to train the right candidate
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Passion for food and a positive, problem-solving mindset

WORK SCHEDULE

We are hiring immediately for both lunch and dinner shifts. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Weekend and evening availability will be required.
