This is seasonal position will end on 10/1/26

Summary/Objective: This position is responsible for providing exceptional service to all guests at the campground and marina facility. The role supports daily operations of the campground, marina, bait and tackle shop, and surrounding grounds, including routine maintenance and upkeep of the Marywood property and The Flame Bar & Grill and Hotel grounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service focus, enjoy working outdoors, and be comfortable performing a combination of guest service, operational support, and grounds maintenance duties to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across all assigned locations.

Essential Functions: Specific duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

Guest Services & Operations:
  • Oversee the registration process for campers and marina users, ensuring all required documentation is completed and fees are collected.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for guests; answer questions, provide information, and resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Address and resolve issues or conflicts among campers or marina users.
  • Manage traffic flow in and out of the boat landing area.
  • Assist boaters with docking, launching, tying, and general marina support.
  • Retail & Transactions:
  • Process cash and card transactions using the pointofsale system for items including bait, tackle, convenience items, alcoholic beverages, and fuel.
  • Ensure accurate recording of all transactions.
  • Maintain inventory levels of fishing tackle, live bait, and related supplies, including restocking and monitoring inventory turnover.
  • Fueling & Marina Support:
  • Follow all safe fueling procedures and assist customers with fueling boats as needed.
  • Monitor marina fuel levels and communicate supply needs; assist with coordination of fuel deliveries.
  • Maintain awareness of fishing regulations, licensing requirements, and applicable size/possession limits.
  • Grounds Maintenance & Property Upkeep:
  • Perform routine grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, raking, and general landscaping across the campground, marina, Marywood property, and The Flame Bar & Grill and Hotel grounds.
  • Clean and maintain campsites, fire pits, picnic areas, docks, walkways, and other common areas.
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of all outdoor spaces, including the Marywood property and The Flame Bar & Grill and Hotel exterior areas.
  • Empty trash receptacles, collect litter, and ensure proper disposal throughout all assigned areas.
  • Monitor properties for safety hazards and report or address issues promptly.
  • Assist with minor repairs and general upkeep of outdoor facilities, signage, and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, shower facilities, and other hightraffic guest areas as needed.
  • Support seasonal opening and closing activities, including site preparation and general maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Work Environment: This position operates in a campground and marina setting, including a bait and tackle shop, convenience retail area, and outdoor recreational environment, as well as the Marywood property and The Flame Bar & Grill and Hotel. The role involves a combination of indoor and outdoor work, with regular interaction with guests and team members. Responsibilities are performed across multiple locations and require flexibility to support operations and maintain property standards in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This would require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and bend or stand as necessary. Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to perform light physical labor.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a Part-Time (Seasonal) position from

    May 1st โ€“ October 1st. Weekly scheduled hours will not exceed 30 hours/week. Days and shifts will vary during the hours of operation, which are 7 days a week between 6:00am โ€“ 6:00pm. Must be able to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must attend all mandatory meetings and participate in trainings.

    Travel: Travel between the campground, marina, Marywood property, and The Flame Bar & Grill and Hotel is required for this position.

    Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of customer service experience in a retail, hospitality, or similar setting.
  • Ability and willingness to perform routine grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, raking, and general outdoor upkeep.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or facility upkeep.
  • Experience working in an outdoor, campground, marina, or recreational environment.
  • Experience in retail or other customerfacing roles.
  • Native American preference will be applied to hiring of this position as defined in Title 25, U.S. Code, Chapter 14, Subchapter V, subsection 273 & 274.
