Campground Caretaker

Annandale, NJ | Part Time, Hourly | $15.49-$17.50 per hour

Fri: 3pm - 8pm

Sat: 9am - 7pm

Sun: 8am - 4pm

We are seeking a campground caretaker to help ensure that our community spaces stay safe, fun, and clean.

What is needed for this job

  • Previous experience in campground management or hospitality industry preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance and cleaning techniques
  • Familiarity with campground regulations and safety guidelines
  • Valid driver's license
  • Certification in CPR/AED for Adults, Children and Infants and First Aid - training provided.
  • Previous experience with voluntary/non-profit organizations preferred.
  • Previous YMCA experience preferred.

The responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Welcoming Campers and providing information about campground amenities and rules.
  • Ensuring campground facilities are clean, organized, and well-maintained Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning restrooms, and collecting trash.
  • Patrolling campground grounds to ensure safety and security of campers
  • Responding to camper inquiries, complaints, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
  • Assisting campers with setting up campsites, resolving technical issues, and providing guidance on recreational activities
  • Enforcing YMCA campground rules and regulations to maintain a peaceful and enjoyable environment for all guests
  • Working cooperatively with the day camp staff team.
  • Supporting the aquatic staff team with regular check ins and open radio communication.
  • Coordinating with campground management to report any maintenance or safety concerns
