Job description

Job ID: 35894 - Campground Attendant (Seasonal)
Agency: Game Fish & Parks
Location:Arlington, SD
Minimum Salary: $14.38/hr
*Seasonal positions can be filled prior to the closing date.*
Description:
Assist in the overall operation and upkeep of Lake Poinsett Recreation Area's Visitor Center/Museum, campgrounds, and day use facilities. Tasks will include, but are not limited to cleaning comfort stations, camping cabins, vault toilets, picnic shelters, collecting fees and other customer service duties, cleaning fire grates, managing the Ecommerce system, and providing information to the public. Other duties as assigned.
General Requirements:
Money handling experience is helpful. Ability to work independently, manage time well, and work in a variety of weather conditions outdoors.
Uniforms are provided and employees must comply with uniform dress code. Valid driver's license required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of how to operate a computer and make change. Ability to learn how to operate a UTV, golf cart, and vehicle. Ability to learn how to properly clean and sanitize buildings throughout the park.
Please note this is a temporary or seasonal, non-benefited position, exempt from civil service.
