The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting with basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks, with an opportunity to grow within a growing company. This role reports directly to the CFO.


Through On the Job Training the part time Accounting Assistant, will:

  • Create and reconcile accounts payable invoices and identify discrepancies
  • Weekly review and matching of payments to payables
  • Participate in monthly Finished Goods Inventory Purge process
  • Review and enter cash receipts on a timely basis
  • Performs other ad hoc related duties as assigned
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work within a team dynamic
Education Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the corporate setting; some accounting knowledge preferred
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment a plus

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear.
  • The job may involve prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
  • This position works in an office environment within a manufacturing facility. The noise level is generally quiet.

Compensation and Benefits: As a part time role, this job is not eligible for benefits. To the extent this employee works more than 1,000 hours in a 12 month period or 500 hours in two consecutive years, they would be eligible to participate in the company’s 401(k) program and earn the company match (Currently 50% of contributions up to 6% of eligible wages).
