JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary
Regal Boats is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our team as a Boat Detailer. Boat detailers play a crucial role in maintaining Regal’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation that our customers expect from Regal Boats.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Use a variety of cleaning tools, including brushes, power washers, and cleaning agents.
  2. Perform cleaning tasks on both the interior and exterior of boats.
  3. Ensure all boats are cleaned to meet quality standards.
  4. Follow safety standards and procedures.
  5. Work collaboratively with the Boat Cleaning Team to achieve efficiency.
  6. Willing to make minor boat repairs.

Required Qualifications

  1. Detail-oriented
  2. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  3. Dependable and punctual.
  4. Work well in a team environment.
  5. Physical ability to bend, stand, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  6. Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Boating experience strongly preferred.
  2. Comfortable operating, maneuvering, docking, and handling boats in a safe manner.
  3. Ability to assist with moving boats, sea trials, customer demonstrations, and test drives as needed.
  4. Previous experience in boat cleaning, minor repairs, or related field.
  5. Knowledge of cleaning agents and techniques.

Work Environment
Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to climb into and out of the boats using stairs. The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10-hour days with most of the time being on their feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.
