Podiatrist (Part-Time) — Melbourne | Skilled Nursing Facility

We are seeking a Part-Time Podiatrist in Melbourne, Florida, to provide podiatry services within one skilled nursing facility. This opportunity is ideal for a podiatrist seeking flexible scheduling, supplemental income, or a part-time SNF podiatry position. The role focuses on routine foot care, preventative treatment, and geriatric podiatry services.

The Company

For over 30 years, our client has delivered comprehensive on-site podiatry services inside nursing homes and assisted living communities throughout Florida. Their model allows podiatrists to focus entirely on patient care while an experienced support team manages scheduling, compliance, billing coordination, and administrative operations.

Compensation & Schedule

• One to two sessions per month
• 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity
• Approximately $137 billed per patient visit
• Average of 30 patients per session
• Session-based compensation model
• Mileage reimbursement provided
• Administrative and scheduling support included

Responsibilities

• A session is defined as care provided at one facility location
• Sessions typically last a half day, up to five hours
• Perform routine nail debridement procedures addressing thickened or dystrophic nails to enhance comfort and reduce risk of complications
• Perform reduction and treatment of keratotic lesions, including corns and calluses, to relieve discomfort and prevent skin breakdown
• Perform routine trimming and maintenance of dystrophic nails to support preventative foot care
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans
• Document patient encounters accurately within EMR

Requirements

• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM)
• Active Florida Podiatry License
• Board Eligible or Board Certified (ABPM or ABFAS) preferred
• Strong communication skills and compassionate bedside manner
